Dr. ZaineaMark Zainea, MD, FACC, FSCAI

Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology

Dr. Zainea was born, educated and has spent his entire career serving the residents of southeast Michigan. His origins in family medicine give him a unique perspective and insight in working with primary care physicians, now as a sub-specialist in cardiology, board certified in both Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He has been recognized by his peers on multiple occasions with the “TOP DOC” Award from Detroit Hour Magazine.

Upon completion of his cardiology fellowship at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, Dr. Zainea accepted a position with a large cardiology practice on the east side. After a few years it became clear to him that he had dreams and plans for his own practice. This practice would focus on personalized, exceptional care, both administratively and clinically. He saw a group that no matter how large in size, its mission would continue to be to provide the personalized service of a small practice with the clinical and technical advantages of a large practice. So now, over 15 years later, his goals nearly realized, he is the President and Chief Medical Officer of Cardiology Associates of Michigan, P.C. The practice has grown from a solo practitioner with 3 employees, to a single specialty group of 6 physicians, a certified Physician Assistant and approximately 25 employees in 3 offices in both Macomb and St. Clair counties.

Dr. Zainea holds staff privileges at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, St. John Macomb Hospital, St. John River District Hospital, William Beaumont Hospital – Grosse Pointe Campus, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and McLaren Macomb Medical Center. Dr. Zainea is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions. He is also a member of Michigan State Medical Society, American Society of Echocardiography, and the American College of Physician Executives.

Dr. Zainea is available to patients in our Roseville, Shelby Township and East China offices.
