Michigan Surgery Specialists provides a range of specialized services including hand surgery, sports medicine, plastic and reconstructive surgery, neurological or vascular procedures, and outpatient therapy through its sister company, Motus Rehabilitation. The specialists take pride in offering compassionate, exceptional care to all their patients. With locations across metropolitan Detroit, Michigan Surgery Specialists services Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

Motus Rehabilitation provides specialized Occupational and Physical Therapy services with a goal of helping patients return to work and doing what they love in a safe and timely manner. This collaboration allows for a unique treatment course that begins with the physician and then transitions to the therapy team.

The doctors with Michigan Surgery Specialists are experts in their industry. Having studied and trained at some of the most prestigious schools and hospitals, the surgeons have what it takes to get patients back to doing what they love.

Ara N. Bush, M.D.

Jeremy R. Ciullo, M.D.

Jeffrey M. Hall, M.D., FACS

Dr. Hall is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in surgery of the hand and wrist. He obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1985. He then completed five years of general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital followed by a hand surgery fellowship at Wayne State University. Following the completion of his fellowship, Dr. Hall worked in a private practice before joining Michigan Surgery Specialists in 2001. Dr. Hall’s areas of interest include nerve compression, peripheral nerve injuries, and complex hand/wrist trauma.

Ara N. Bush, M.D.

Dr. Bush joined Michigan Surgery Specialists in 2016. He is a board-certified surgeon with additional training specifically for complex disorders, injuries, and illnesses of the hand and wrist. A Michigan native, Dr. Bush graduated from the Wayne State School of Medicine in 2010. Following completion of his surgical internship and residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Bush was admitted to the Combined Hand Surgery Fellowship at the University of Connecticut.

Jeremy R. Ciullo, M.D.

Dr. Ciullo was born and raised in southeast Michigan. As he was earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, he worked closely with his father, Dr. Jerome V. Ciullo, MD, a renowned local orthopaedic shoulder surgeon. Dr. Ciullo graduated from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2009. He then entered his surgical residency at the Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. He completed fellowships in Pediatric Surgical Critical Care at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and the world-renowned Christine M. Kleinert Institute. He firmly believes in the patient-centered approach to the practice of medicine, involving a multi-disciplinary team of the surgeon, nurses, and physical/occupational therapists to achieve the best outcomes for his patients.
