Meet The Therapists

The physical therapy team at the Shelby Macomb Medical Mall comes from a variety of backgrounds and has a multitude of experiences to assist patients from throughout southeast Michigan. In addition to physical therapy technicians Ben Gee, Katelyn Gohlke, and Travis Troia and admissions coordinators Nicole LaForest and Ann Gunnery, the Shelby Township team consists of five highly trained physical therapists.

Jill Zueski MPT CFC

Jill graduated from Oakland University in 1998 with her Masters in Physical Therapy. Her main area of expertise is in spinal care and manual therapy of the spine and extremities. She is certified to treat chronic pelvic pain and incontinence for women and men. Jill has been Herdman Vestibular Rehab Certified since 2001 for patients that have balance and dizziness problems.

Brian Venglar DPT PT

Brian graduated from Oakland University in 2010 with a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Since that time he has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics in both Michigan and Texas. He has had extensive training in manual therapy techniques to treat the spine and extremities. Brian is also Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) certified and enjoys being able to utilize these screening and training tools to treat. He continues to pursue higher knowledge through participation in continuing education course and certifications to deliver current treatment patterns.

Kimberly Pokowski DPT

Kim graduated from Oakland University in 2007 with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. She has had extensive training in manual techniques to treat spinal and extremity conditions. She is certified in ASTYM (a soft tissue technique) and LSVT BIG, a specialized treatment program for patients with Parkinson’s disease. Kim has also taken other continuing education courses for the treatment of TMJ and is TRX certified.

Stephanie Shimel PTD PT

Stephanie graduated from Oakland University in 2015 with her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. She is certified in Women’s Health and LSVT BIG, a specialized approach for treating patients with Parkinson’s Disease. She is also trained in Rolfing (a soft tissue technique). She enjoys providing her patients with positive and effective treatments to help them reach their optimal level of function.

Kayleigh Ehlke PTA

Kayleigh has graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Baker College of Auburn Hills in 2015, where she is currently involved as a lab instructor. Kayleigh has also graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2013. Kayleigh has taken many continuing education courses to continue developing her practice. She enjoys working with the team to optimize patients level of function and get them back to their everyday lives.
